Google Makerspaces Branding

2018 - 2019

A makerspace (also sometimes called a hacklab, hackerspace, or workshop) is a volunteer-operated workspace where people with common interests, often in computers, machining, technology, science, digital art or electronic art, can meet, socialize and collaborate.

Google Makerspaces are sponsored by the Making & Science team, with help from REWS, Environmental Health & Safety, and over 120 volunteer Googlers. Our spaces are located in over 30 Google offices around the globe, each with its own culture and style.

I joined the Making & Science team and created a new brand identity for global Google Makerspaces captures its power of strengthen Google’s culture and productivity. Over the coming months, the new direction will roll out across makerspaces.
